Northampton Majors - Fydenkevez/Recuber and Southampton 2 tied 3-3 on Thursday.

Northampton got on the board in the third inning after JJ Heaney singled, scoring one run.

A two run single gave Southampton 2 the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the fourth.

Drew Hicks doubled, which helped Northampton tie the game at two in the top of the fifth.

Another single by Drew Hicks gave Northampton the lead, 3-2, in the top of the seventh.

Southampton 2 was able to get a run across the plate to tie the game at three in the bottom of the seventh.

Blake Totten led things off on the hill for Northampton. The pitcher gave up three hits and two runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking four.  Dylan Steed came on to finish the game on the mound for Northampton.  

Drew Hicks led Northampton with two runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 3-for-4 on the day. Dylan Steed and Matt Fydenkevez each collected multiple hits for Northampton.

Northampton Majors will travel to Southampton 3 for their next game on Monday.
